Lookup Values, 2 Worksheets, one similar column

Hi Everyone,

I need help on search functions in excel. I have two (2) files with one similar column header (TASK_NO). I need to identify from Sheet-A all rows that have the same value (col header TASK_NO) as those from Sheet-B TASK_NO.

Goal is for me to remove all rows from Sheet-A that are like/similar to those from Sheet-B, using TASK_NO column as identifier.

This can be achieved using lookup function using which the duplicated can be tracked and then can be easily removed. please upload a sample workbook. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Please see attached file for sample.

Goal is to eventually remove ROW items on Sheet A which are equal to those in Sheet B, using Column-"Task number" as Search Key. we could highlight Rows first to identify then remove later. Thanks in advance Sir.

Hi Ladron,

I have used a simple match function in the conditional formatting to highlight the data in Red in sheet A which are there in Sheet B. See the attachment. Thanks.

Are you saying that conditional formatting is not visible ?
Any ways, I have used the below formula in conditional formatting in column F of sheet A and then selected red background when condition is met.
