Question Picture from File to Excel

    Hello!
I am trying to get something done that I am pretty sure is not possible. I do this often.
I need to get excel to get a picture from link for instance: C:\Documents and Settings\swilson\My Documents\My Pictures\Payton.bmp

but the thing is I don't want to hyper link it. I want to actually SEE Payton Manning in the excel file.

Is there anyway to do this?
    Thanks guys!!
    -Sam

it will be easy enough to copy the picture into your excel sheet.

you can also attach a hyperlink to it if you like, so clicking the picture in excel will open the source picture on your default graphics reader
    is that what you want?

or, if you have a series of hyperlinks to pictures already in the worksheet, you could use a macro to place copies of those pictures in the worksheet (and hyperlink them as well, if you like)

    Ok, try this
set SourceRange as the range containing your hyperlinks, and DestCell as first cell to copy the pictures to
the macro puts the pictures in successive rows begining at DestCell. it also attaches a hyperlink to the original picture.
It sizes all imported pictures to 1 inch high (width is scaled proportionate to the original picture)
and sets the row height to be slightly higher than this, so each picture fits in one row
you may want to juggle these bits

you may also fing this macro useful - in inserts a hyperlink to all files in the My Pictures directory in successive rows, starting from cell A1
