dragging formula across a row with absolute column reference but relative row reference

    Howdy all,

I have a list of dates running down Column A starting in row 42 on tab 'Running Total Data'. On Sheet 2 I want to reference each date from 'Running Total Data' Sheet column A but have them running across row 2 (B2:AA2). Here is my formula in B2: '=Running Total DATA'!A42'. My formula works for the first cell, but when I drag it to the right across the row it changes the column reference, and if I use $ for absolute ($A42) and drag, it just copies $A42 into every cell. Any suggestions?

Try this one, and drag to the right.
