I have created a conditional formatting for a row using the following formula:
=$K$3="Expedited"
I have applied it to =$3:$3 and it turns the row red if the formula is true.
I am trying to apply the formatting to the entire spreadsheet such that if the entry in column K is "Expedited" the entire row will be red. However when I try to copy the formatting (using format painter) it relates back only to K3 instead of the row number in that column (e.g. when I copy it to row 4 it looks at the entry in K3 instead of K4). I tried the formula =K3="Expedited" but that did not work at all even in row 3.
I also have redefined the "applied to" =$1:$30000 which turned the entire sheet red based on K3.
Is there an easy way to apply the conditional formatting without requiring me to go row by row and redefine the row number? Is there a formula that can do this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
