Excel 2007 - creating a formula to capture best bowling figures in Cricket

    Hello
I'd like to expand if I may I'm a very useful thread, http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...e-columns.html. This thread enabled me to enter a formula to calculate best bowling figures in my cricket spreadsheet. I use two figures (a) wickets taken and (b) runs conceded. The formula taken from the previous thread is as follows for example =N2+(1-MAX((0&M2)+0,0.1)/1000). This formula is used for every match the bowler balls regardless of wickets taken. Then in a column to show the bowlers best performance over the course of the season another formula is employed =INT(MAX(O2:O37))&"-"&ROUND((1-MOD(MAX(O2:O37),1))*1000,0) (see attached for full details). What I havent been able to work out, despite the detail in the previous thread is how to calculate a bowlers best performance when he fails to take a wicket. So as the attached shows a bowler (Baxter) bowls twice over the course of the season he takes 0 wickets for 0 runs (0-0) and 0 wickets for 8 runs (0-8). Best bowling figures 0-0. His colleague bowls only once, again fails to take a wicket and conceeds 15 runs but the formula shows his best bowling figures as 0-0 as opposed to 0-15. I haven't been able to understand why so any help will be appreciated, thanks
