    Copy & paste conditional formatting?

Is it possible to copy the conditional formatting from one cell to another without removing the contents of the cell?

    Yes it is.

Select the Cell you want to copy from. Right click with your mouse > click on Copy> select destination Cell> Right Click on your mouse> Click on "Paste Special" > then Click on "Formats" > Click on O.K.

You may have to edit the conditional format formulas to suit your requirements.

    A2 is =WORKDAY($C$1,D1)
    C1 is =today()
    D1 is 1

    Column A range is A2:A211

Re: Copy & paste conditional formatting?

Do you also use range C2:C21 AND D2:D23 with data?

Which is the rule in Conditional Formatting? =WORKDAY($C$1,D1)

    You mean something like this?

    =WORKDAY($C1,$D1)

Re: Copy & paste conditional formatting?

    No, not using the C or D column (except C1 & D1).

The conditional formatting I'm using is =IF(AND(A2=TODAY()),IF(B2<>"",TRUE,FALSE))

Re: Copy & paste conditional formatting?

Why don't you just adjust the range in C.F rules to A2:A23?

If_agai_)did not get it, pls, upload a small sample workbook.

Re: Copy & paste conditional formatting?

Can you please add another sheet to the WorkBook, showing us what exactly how you want to achieve what?

Column A & B seem to be doing what it should. How do you want to implement changes and where?

Re: Copy & paste conditional formatting?

Check out the attached WorkBook, and you will see that as the date changes, and you enter a value in the appropriate Cell in Column B, the Cell in Column B changes to Yellow. A day later that very same cell will revert back to no interior color.
