Command button will not execute all the time

I have a commandbutton on a spreadsheet that refers to macro in VBA. When I first open the workbook and try to click on the button nothing will happen.

I have to enter into the design mode right click on the button and select CommandButton Object/edit, then click off to deselect the button, then exit design mode.

Now the button works.

without seeing the workbook its difficult to say. can you upload it?

I copied the code and inserted it into a new module. Module 3. I deleted your cmd button and created a new one > assigned the macro and it seems to be working fine
