Hi there,
When working with any Excel file (even brand new, extremely simple spreadsheets that are almost empty), I find that Excel grinds almost to a halt when my computer is connected to the internet. One day by chance I was offline and suddenly even my most complex my spreadsheets were incredibly fast. Same result every time. Now at least I know if it's driving me crazy I'll just go offline and be able to go as fast as I want, but it doesn't seem like a proper solution.
Any tips on something that I can possibly disable so that Excel stops being slowed down simply by the computer being online? I haven't had this problem with any program other than Excel. I don't play games on my computer, I have Norton anti-virus, and I try to keep up on all my MS and Java updates (if any of that info is meaningful).
Thanks!!
Heidi
