    Splitting Data Into Columns

    Hello!

I have a large database of names in various formations (first name, initial, last name; initial, first name, last name; initial first name, last name) [please see attached image].

However, what I need is just the person's first name in this cell. I've currently been splitting cell B and doing this manually, but I'm sure there is a more efficient way to do this (this list in particular has 5000+ names). It's tricky because some first names are preceded by an initial and others are preceded by an initial.

I appreciate any help you can offer!

    Thank you!

It would help if you posted a sample workbook rather than a jpeg, so that we can try things out for you.

Try this on your uploaded workbook. Results will go into column h for now you can change at the bottom of the code after looking over the results and are happy with the output.
