Format multiple Data Series in Chart in Excel 2007

Hi, does anybody know how to format multiple data series in Excel 2007 at once?

I have a 2D-Line-Chart and with 200 series. I need to adjust the line color, so they are all red, and i need to reduce the line width to 1 pt!

Does somebody know how to do this?

    Thanks

    Hi Mike,

I don't think you can select more than one series in a chart to format. Excel 2007 unfortunately is very unwieldy when it comes to chart formatting. The F4 key to repeat the last applied format to the currently selected chart element also does not work.

If you have the chance to open the file in 2003 or 2010, you could do this:

select the first series and apply your format
hit the arrow key that will select the next series
    F4
    arrow
    F4
    arrow
    F4

etc. But even this semi-clumsy workaround will not work in 2007. Many people are very angry with Microsoft for taking that feature away.

For that many lines I would use some VBA code.

I would like to challenge whoever was part of the development of the newer MS Office (2007~). I'm pretty sure they know nothing about the full potential of the previous version. My friend who works with Microsoft informed me that when they did the UAT for the latest versions (2007 up), they excluded old users from participating to get a fresh feel of the system, therefore, whoever did the UATs were newbies and knew nothing about hot keys and full potentials of the previous version. All change requests where place on hold so they can release the new version and beat their deadline. These change requests will be put back one at a time as parrt of service pack which means additional cost for the consumers. What these new developers did was all esthetics no substance.
