using a cell on a sheet and putting the next cell on another sheet

i am trying to set ups a work book foe workers. on sheet 1 'codes' i want to type in m2 which stands for "mowing around trees" to be placed in a cell on sheet 2 'jobs to be done'

without using a macro you cant replace the same value in a cell however if you set it up next to it then you could do it like this
