    1. Copy data into clipboard
    2. Select your range (i.e. C2:C100)
    3. F5 (goto) > Special> Blank cells
    4. Paste
    Does that work for you?

Re: paste in multiple alternate blank rows

yes it does work (thank you i really appreciated it) but the thing is that the content of data is quite long, might take up to hundreds of rows down, when i paste it, it overwrite the data in the cell beneath the blank row
    example
    a b c d e f g h i
    =a1 =b1
=c1 =d1 this type of data that i need to paste
=e1 =f1 depends sometimes i need to push it hundreds of rows down
    b c d e f g h i j

    c d e f g h i j k

    d e f g h i j k l

data need to be copy in the example need 2 sometimes hundreds rows down but only a row available
how can i push this down as i paste??

    result
    a b c d e f g h i
    =a1 =b1
    =c1 =d1
    =e1 =f1
    b c d e f g h i j
    =a5 =b5
    =c5 =d5
    =e5 =f5
    c d e f g h i j k
    =a9 =b9
    =c9 =d9
    =e9 =f9
    d e f g h i j k l
    =a13 =b13
    =c13 =d13
    =e13 =f13

    thank u for your time

Okay, if you are trying to insert multiple cells of data between cells, then this gets a lot more difficult. I didn't actually follow your example very well. Can you upload an example spreadsheet showing a before and after example? (Go Advanced> Manage Attachments)

I've missed a few emails from this forum.

Are the number of blank rows the same throughout one worksheet? But from one worksheet to another, you may have a different number of rows?

I think a short macro will insert as many rows as you want, which I will provide when I see the answer to my question.

Then try the following to copy the contents of each line:
    - select the entire data matrix, including all the blank lines that you want to fill.
    - Press F5, select Special, tick Blanks, click OK. (all the blank cells should be selected now).
    - Type "=", press the Up arrow, then press Ctrl+Enter.

The result should be that every blank cell below each line now has that line's contents.
