    Converting Decimal to Minute

Hi, so I am new to MS EXCEL. I have gathered lots of values (measured in minutes) and I put them into my excel spread sheet as such. Now I went to take the average and I get an average minute of 24.76 which is clearly not an average "minute" (0 to 60 seconds) so please let me know what to do. Thank you! My first column of "minutes" or as I inputted them, as decimals, reads:

    25
    25
    25
    25
    25
    25
    25
    25
    25
    24.02
    25
    23.14 (23 minutes and 14 seconds)

    Perhaps:
    =DOLLARFR(AVERAGE(A1:A12),60)

    Hi robertx

Assuming those times are in A1:A12: =AVERAGE(A1:A12)/1440 & format cell as mm:ss
