range of months Jan to Dec that I would like to total

I have two rows of data A1 & A2 and that cover the columns a to m.

    Jan 12 Feb 12 Mar 12 Apr 12 May 12 Jun 12 Jul 12 Aug 12 Sep 12 Sep 12 Oct 12 Nov 12 Dec 12
    1699 2398 2540 1342 2170 3246 1118 2832 2605 2700 2700 2700 2100
    276 302 281 288 296 285 311 300 303 285 285 285 285.

    row a1 1699 2398
    row a2 276 276

I want to multiply A1*A2 and then multiply B1*B2 and add the two figures together. The total should equally 1,193,120.

I would like to do this for the range.

    Thanks

You better add an excel example where we can work with (without confidentional information).
Notice my main language is not English.

    The formula for A3 is: =A1*A2+B1*B2 = 1,193,120

    The formula for B3 is: =C1*C2+D1*D2 = 1,100,236

    The formula for C3 is: =E1*E2+F1*F2 = 1,567,430

etc. The other answers are: 1,197,298, 1,558,815, 1,539,000

Did you notice that you had Sep 12 twice?

    Hello,

I have figured it out. I need to use sumproduct. Do you know if you can use sumprouduct with offset and the count if function?

Yes I did notice that. One of the Sep figures was a forecast. I used the sumproduct and that seemed to work.
