I am having an issue with a simple speadsheet. I am attaching an example. In this example we have sales persons with their hours and sales $ in two separate columns underneath their name and district. The cells of name and district are both merged cells of two so that the two columns of hours and sales $ are underneath. Now I would like to sum up the districts numbers. By using the SUMIFS function I am getting the correct results for only the Sales $ however the Hours results is 0. I believe this to be because the Hours column is the second column underneath the merged Name and District cells. Would there be a way to do this without undoing the merged cells? Hopefully my attachment will explain my problem better. How can I make the SUMIFS formula or any formula make this work? Keep in mind this is a small example of the actual speadsheet, there are many more sales people so I would like to avoid having to sum up the district numbers manually.
