Change cell Background color if any information has been modifyed in that cell

I am working with a Excel Sheet that is meant as an Informational file , I am hoping I can find something to do that will automatically change the background color of the cell that was modified for say 7 days ( just to alert the users that, that is the new information) and then go back to being the same as the rest of the sheet. I have tried conditional formatting but I haven’t been able to see how to formulate it because the value will change periodically and can’t be pre determined.

This is what I like about Excel, the possibility to mix formulas, VBA and then some.
I used another sheet to put the time stamps in. The attached workbook is set to 1 minut so that you can test it out.
New things entered turns the cell green but one minute later it goes back to normal, provided the recalc is triggered somehow of course, either by pressing F9 or by entering another value.

To get what you want you can change the formula from NOW() to TODAY() and the VBA code in the sheet the same way.
