    Highlight Group of Dates if Dates Match List of other Dates

    Hi there,

    I have a set of dates in column A, and I want to highlight dates in column C if they match dates the dates in column A. I have created a defined name of the dates in column A called dates and I have tried a few things out but I can't figure it out. I want to have just one conditional rule not a rule for each cell in column C as this attached document is just a sample of what I want to do on a larger scale. I would really appreciate your support, and thanks for your help in advance.

    highlight the range you want, go into conditional formatting, select new rule, select "use formula", entyer/copy this...
    =ISNUMBER(VLOOKUP(C2,$A$2:$A$38,1,FALSE))

    Try

    Conditional Formatting
    • Highlight applicable range >> C2:C9
    • Home Tab >> Styles >> Conditional Formatting
    • New Rule >> Use a formula to determine which cells to format
    • Edit the Rule Description: Format values where this formula is true: =COUNTIF(dates,C2)>0
    • Format… [Number, Font, Border, Fill]
    • OK >> OK
