    Question on blank cell

Hi, to make a cell empty, we tend to use double quotation formula like: IF(..., ""). This assume that the target cell will have a blank value.

But if test it use: =IF(ISBLANK(A1),"true","false")

The result is false, which means that "" does not represent a blank cell. There is value there!

    Can you explain why?
