Importing data from other excel files

Could you show me how to solve this problem? Some financial institutions have standardized excel reports on some companies. One XLS file is one company for one year. I need these information ordered in the format which corresponds my database. It should look like this:

Name	Revenue	Assets	Year
Company 1	100.000	15.000	2012
Company 2	25.000	24.000	2012
Compnay 1	50.000	15.000	2011

etc.



Is it possible to make this? Every excel file has 200-250 data in different places inside one excel file, and I have about 100 files. How can I make that kind of excel file, and what is the fastest way to do it?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Almost anything is possible but we need to see the before and after. In other words how is the original data formatted and how do you want the output. Please upload sample files and explain in detail what you are after. That way the forum members can assess the difficulty of the project.

P.S. Since you are using the Mac version I don't know if the solutions provided will work out of the box or if they will need to be tweaked to work with the Mac environment.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to manage it, cause all the reports are in Croatian. These are reports for two years for one company, and a test XLS file. I wrote which tabs and cells these data are driven from.
