Arrow Fvschedule with non numeric or non blank cells

    Hello Guys,

I used to know how to overcome this problem, but again I need your help
I'm running a year-to-date calculation using FVSCHEDULE formula and some of cells containing the future schedules are nonblank. Nonblank meaning that these cells refer to an INDEX(),MATCH(),MATCH(). Also, since I am using the following type of formula

, when appropriate the formula will return

which is a blank cell in appearance, BUT apparently excel considers it as NONBLANK.

    Bottom line, I'm getting a nice #VALUE!
I have the answer why I'm getting the #Value!:

The values in schedule can be numbers or blank cells; any other value produces the #VALUE! error value for FVSCHEDULE. Blank cells are taken as zeros (no interest).

    BUT I need the Solution!

Please don't hesitate to ask me more info.

    Thank you guys

I'm encountering this exact same problem. Was wondering if anyone has ever resolved this issue?

    burryumy,

Unfortunately you need to post your question in a new thread, it's against the forum rules to post a question in the thread of another user. If you create your own thread, any advice will be tailored to your situation so you should include a description of what you've done and are trying to do. Also, if you feel that this thread is particularly relevant to what you are trying to do, you can surely include a link to it in your new thread.

Arlu1201, wasn't aware to this rule so thanks for letting me know. My question was not in fact a new question just the exact same question as an ealier poster which hadn't yet been answered. However, I will post it again as a separate thread to avoid breaking any rules!
