Need Last Day of Month formula in a text string.

I am creating financial statements and want the title to be standard using cell references and vlookups so the user does not have to edit the title ever.

I have most of the formula - just can't get the end of month to show as text it keeps returning the date serial number.



I want it to read For the Nine Months Ending September 30, 2012. I can get For the Nine Months Ending 41182 with the following formula ="For the "&A4&" Months Ending "& DATE($A$3,$A$4+1,0)
