I'm having a problem with text distortion when an image with transparent sections is placed over top of the cells. I've found that when importing a picture into excel (and making it transparent within excel), that if that picture is located over top (or behind) a cell that the cell's text will be distorted when printed. I've noticed that this problem only occurs when a picture is imported, and the problem does not occur when a .wmf windows drawing file is placed over top of the cells. Using a text box instead of cells is one way to get around this, but I intend to use cells for VBA purposes. I'm wondering if there is any specific picture file format that will prevent this text distorion to avoid this? The font will look fine on the screen but will print distorted when an image is on top of the cells. I have tried printing from multiple printers and this problem still persists. I've attached an excel file to show what I mean.

Has anyone had a similar problem like this in the past? Is there a way to solve this problem or is it just simply the way it is when placing a picture of cells?
