Unhappy How to align data based on country and year?

Hi, just registered and hope you guys could help me with a tedious task. I have two relatively long sets of data.
Country, Year, % in primary education
    Country, Year, GDP per capita

So I want to be able to make a scattergram of % in primary and GDP per capita, but the two lists don't match up perfectly; some countries/years are in one but not in another. Is there a quick way to have each row of these two lists matched up by what's in the first two columns so I can make a scattergram without matching myself and copy pasting?

    Thanks
    Greg

    Hi Greg,

First you will need to create a list of all possible Country/Year by copy/ pasting the two lists in the same columns. Then remove the duplicates using the Remove Duplicates function (don't have a mac so won't be able to tell you where exactly, but under the Data ribbon in Excel 2010). Once you have a clean list, then you can use index/ match to gather the data.

If you need more assistance then please upload a dummy file with the same structure as your actual data.

    Good luck.
