Question How to remove a duplicate that doesn't have an address

I have a huge list with some duplicate "ID" numbers. With the rows that have this same "ID" number, one of the rows has an address the other(s) do not. Some rows that do not have duplicates might not have an address, so I don't want to just remove all rows without addresses. Is there a way to remove just the duplicates that do not have an address?

    Welcome to the forum, cinci-hal.

I haven't used Excel 2003 for some time now - tell me, is conditional formatting available?

Sorry, I have Excel 2010. I thought I put that in my profile, but I guess not.

    No biggie

Use CF to highlight duplicate values; then filter by colour on that column (you'll only get duplicate values). Then filter your address column, showing only blanks. Delete the blanks, turn off the data filter, and you're done.

You can use the Remove Duplicates option which is under Data Tools - Remove Duplicates and only check the Columns that have your ID numbers and address
