Hi,
I've come across something bizarre in Excel 2010..
In one particular spreadsheet I have lost the ability to use lots of functionality in the Ribbon.
The following functions are disabled / greyed out:
Insert
- [Illustrations]
- [Charts]
- [Filter]
- [Text]: Text Box
- [Text]: WordArt
- [Text]: Signature Line
- [Symbols]: Equation
Developer
- [Controls]: Insert <--- THIS IS THE ONE I NEED!!!
I have no idea what I did.. but the functionality is disabled for all sheets in the spreadsheet. If I create a new spreadsheet, they are no longer disabled??
In addition to this, all of my ActiveX buttons and text boxes have disappeared from the sheets, and my list data validated cells no longer bring up a drop down menu, and don't accept any valid strings (when I enter a string from the list that it's using, it just comes up with "This is not valid, Try again")
I REALLY don't want to try to copy the stuff in my sheets across to a new one.. Funnily enough though, if I copy a sheet to a new spreadsheet, I can access all of the aforementioned features.
Does anyone have an explanation and how to fix this?
Thanks,
Nick
PS. See attached for the spreadsheet (with sensitive info removed)
PPS. The spreadsheet is not Protected! (nor is the workbook)
