    Sumif? Vlookup? Countif? i'm not sure

    can anyone help me get over this mental blockage please

    column A has a list of names
    column B has the associated team numbers i.e. 1 to 6
    column C records the number of error those names have made for Jan 13
    column D records the number of error those names have made for Feb 13
    and so on

    on a seperate page i would like to know how many errors have been made per team per month

    what formula could i use?

    thanks
    Matt

    @Matt

    I used Sumif and Sumproduct to solve your question.

    I have attached the file, hope you could download it.

    Sumif

    Sumproduct

    Sumif is easier to understand, but Sumproduct could be much more accurate.
