Hi there,
Very new to the forum and pretty much of a rookie in Excel, but would appreciate any help at all as I'm a bit desperate.
I'm fairly sure a Macro would be required for what I'm trying to do, but you guys are the experts..
I've got some data where there one cell would have a few unique numbers which are separated by commas with the sum of their values.
I'm wondering how to have that cell put into different rows below for each separation after the comma, while ALSO dividing the total value equally amongst the unique numbers that have been split.
What I mean is, the data looks something like this..
Column A Column B Column C Column D
Expense 1 01234, 12345, 13456, 14567 $12,000 Toronto
Expense 2 15678, 16789 $10,000 Vancouver
What I want it to look like
Column A Column B Column C Column D
Expense 1 01234 $4,000 Toronto
Expense 1 12345 $4,000 Toronto
Expense 1 13456 $4,000 Toronto
Expense 1 14567 $4,000 Toronto
Expense 2 15678 $5,000 Vancouver
Expense 2 16789 $5,000 Vancouver
Would this be possible at all?
Any help at all would be so so so appreciated. Thanks ever so much ..
I've attached the excel sheet with a bit of the sample data ..The data is much much bigger than what I've attached.
Thanks a lot guys. I really don't know who else to ask or where else to go with this?
