Counting number of shifts under a day column

I have a spreadsheet that shows a list of terminated employees. The row includes the employee's name, ID number, and the start/end times for their shift. The columns are the days of the week. When a representative is added to the bottom of the list, a "1" is added under the applicable day of the week that the rep was scheduled to work.

The goal here is to create a chart showing the headcount of people that have been terminated that typically worked on any given day of the week, under any given shift. We want to see how many people have been terminated that used to give us coverage in the 12 o'clock hour on Mondays for example.

I know this is a simple function that I want to use here....but I can't seem to accomplish using anything like vlookup or count. Please outline how you would tackle this project. I can include an example of the chart I'm looking at if necessary. Thank you for reading my post!

    ciw916,

Welcome to the forum. Yes, will you upload an example file, with sample data, showing the type of data you're dealing with, and clearly showing your expected results (you can just type these in.)
    Brendan.

hard to offer a suggestion without seeing what data/layout you are working with. but perhaps try playing around with the countifS() function?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

I will try that. In the meantime I've uploaded an example. Thank you.
