    COUNTIFS Volatile or Non-Volatile?

I tried searching for this on Google and found a lot of good information regarding volatile and non-volatile formula. However, nothing that I have found stated for certain if a COUNTIFS was or was not.

    Is COUNTIFS a non-volatile formula?

    From what I understand, no

On this site you can read some more about volatility, plus, a workbook you can download to test formulas for volatile vs. non-volatile.

a regular countifS(crit-range1,crit1,crit-range2,crit2 etc) is non-volatile. a formula is only volatile if the range that it is/will reference is "adjustable" through another function

    Yes.

Sumproduct was the function for pre 2007, but since you are past that version, the newly introduced Countifs is much more efficient.
