Data Validation --> Return Multiple Values via VLookup from Dynamic Data

    Hi Guys,

I have a similar problem as the below thread except my data is dynamic and I can't sort the data.

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...html?p=3020736

My data is as below, I have one Data validation displaying unique values from 'List' and then I am trying to do a second Data Validation based on 'Version' which only shows the unique values based on the selected entry in 'List'.

Hopefully my description makes sense, I would appreciate some assistance.

    Thanks

    Hi No_Guru,

Perhaps it would be better if you could upload a sample WorkBook with your Code, so that we can exactly see where to help with what.

Winon, thank for your response. Please find uploaded file.

Cell F2 generates a few blank rows
Cell G2 produces one correct entry and then the rest are either the values below the correct value.

    Thanks

Re: Data Validation --> Return Multiple Values via VLookup from Dynamic Data

    Wher,

That is perfect, thank you ...

One question ... When I have already already assigned/placed a value in the Select dependent field (G2) and then I change the Select (from unique list) (F2) ... How can I get it to flag that the value in Select dependent is invalid?

    Thanks

Wher, I'm just trying to look at the code for the data validation on F2 which has '=_val' under the source but I can't see find '_val' has been designed/constructed. I've looked under the VB Editor and macros but I can't find where '_val' has been coded.
