    How to capture streaming data

    Hello All,

Im new here and searched the forums but didnt find a post about this.

I have streaming data coming into my excel spreadsheet. The data is in 1 cell and its a number that changes almost every second. How can I capture and store this data.

    Thanks for your time.

    Nick

Re: How to capture streaming data

Im having this same issue. I have a spreadsheet that some guys on this forum are currently helping me with, but once my current issue is solved, I want to stream live quotes.

To give an example of what I mean to all of you out there who read me and NickQ8's question, if you go to www.freestockcharts.com - do you see at the very top how quotes are moving across the screen? Thats sort of the goal here, and Im not sure if there needs to be a Com add-in or how it would work exactly. Happy to post my spreadsheet again with the current VBA or see my other post relating to conditional formatting and tickers.

Hopefully this type of real-time stream is what NickQ is looking for too. NickQ, Ive been told that this can be done with setting up an infinite loop and using Application.OnTime, but I experimented with it and had no luck so hopefully some others can weigh in on this.

    Thanks!
