Placing information in rows/columns that is different in size than existing information

How do I to put information that is different in size in rows and columns than the existing information in those rows and columns without changing the size of those rows and columns. This information is in an excel spread sheet.

    Hi ghstrdr60,

Select the columns, and format them as "shrink to fit" and now when you paste special - values in it, they should not be resized with the size of incoming data. thanks.

    Or

Before pasting the data just Press Alt+E+S+W>>Enter which will apply the column widths of the source data to the current paste area. Then do your paste process as usual.
