After applying a Data Filter and sorting the data, how can you revert back to original?

I'm using Excel 2010 and I applied a Data Filter to a simple table. I then messed around with the drop downs in each column, sorting the data by different criteria. After doing this, is there a simple way to get the table to revert back to its original order/form?

I believe it's not possible, but I suggest you to duplicate the sheet by holding Ctrl+Click the sheet and drop it to the nearby sheet names and continue doing changes on the duplicate sheet and once the task is over then delete the duplicate and locate the Original sheet.

...or put in a helper column, numbering rows as 1, 2, 3, etc. When you're finished sort by that column.
