Unhappy Excel doens't recognized a cell as a number

    Hi everyone!
A quick question: i have a number (%) in the cell B3, which excel doesn't recognizes as a number.
Is there anything i can do "excel-wise", instead of manually rewritting the number in the cell, for excel to recognize it as a number.
Changing it to a "number" or "percentage" in the cell format doesn't help.
    Thanks!

The extra character is actually a "Char 160" character, not a "space" as such - you often get those if you copy from a website. You can eliminate those using

    =2*SUBSTITUTE(B3,CHAR(160),"")
    Audere est facere

CSE, aka Array aka { }, formulae are confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.
All good ideas are courtesy resources from this forum as well as others around the web.
