Stop Auto-Formatting Headers in Table Upon Row Insert

    Pre-thanks for any help!

I decided to format my data as a table so that excel will auto-fill my formulas when inserting new rows which works quite well. I have one snag though, when trying to insert a new row at the very top (i.e. inbetween the header and first row) and choosing Format As Below, it also applies Data Validation and Conditional Formatting to the header. The inserted row, however, is actually formatted fine and works well.

How do I stop this from happening, and why would Excel do this anyway (as it is effectively applying formatting to TWO rows when only one row is being inserted)?

The question is why you want to add the new row at the top of the table.

As you already mentioned, the formula will auto fill.

After edding data, you could sort (without the filter)
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

Because sorting isn't an option. The table links data across other tables in other sheets. For instance, on the "master" sheet are a series of names (and some bio data) which fill in those same names on various other sheets (where the names are represented the same, but the following data columns differ). As the names and other data are filled from the master table, sorting on the master table sorts the values of those names, but not the other data associated with them in those other sheets.

Solved. Kinda. I ended up writing a short macro which added two rows instead of one, the top row formatted as the header, the next row formatted as the data, and then deleted the row below the header. Roundabout way, but it worked.
