    Keeping Row order as entered?

    Good evening,

I have entered 50 plus rows of information on to a spreadsheet. Since then have filtered alphabetically / date order e.t.c and now I wish the rows to return to the exact order I entered them in.

Can anyone please advise how I can do this?

    Cheers

    Hi timmysd,

If you have only filtered the information, it's just a matter of turning the data filter off. If you have used the Sort tool/function, and sorted by date etc, you can click on "Undo", provided you haven't clicked on "Save" after sorting. I don't know of any way to get back to your original order if you have saved the data in a different order - clicking "Save" overwrites/stores the data as it is when clicking "Save", without recourse to how it was beforehand.
    Brendan.

if you are sorting ,always sort all the columns together ,if you ever need to return them to the original unsorted way. before you do a sort in a spare column number down from 1 to end of data. when you sort include that column
you can then sort by that column to restore
