    column/row formatting

I'm not sure that this is possible, but is there any way to space the columns and rows differently in different sections of a worksheet? Let me try to explain it better....If I have data and formatting in the first 10 columns and rows, with different size columns and merged cells, is it possible to have a "fresh" formatting starting in row 12? I would like to input information but change the row and column sizes in a way that doesn't match up with the spacing/formatting above. Hope that makes sense. Thanks.

Column's need to be the same width all the way down, if that is what you are asking (and rows the same height all the way across). You can make it look otherwise using borders and not showing gridlines, or by "centering across selection. Hope that helps

Ok, thank you. What is centering across selection and how do I do that?

"Centering across Selection" is one of the dropdown choices in Format cells>Alignment> Horizontal. Its preferred to merging cells as it doesn't cause as many problems down the road.

With your text in A1 for example, Select A1:C1 and Format cells>"Center across selection"
