Print area will not keep when using Page Break Preview

When I define the print area using Page Break Preview, the guide lines stay where they are. When I hit Quick Print the page breaks go back to their original position and the document prints on 4 pages intstead of 2. Every once in awhile it will keep and actually print correctly. I have updated the print drivers, and I still get the same results. Thanks in advance!
