How Do I Extract Information From A Single Cell?

Hi,

I have something that looks like this (it's from a list of airports);

1,"Goroka","Goroka","Papua New Guinea","GKA","AYGA",-6.081689,145.391881,5282,10,"U"

I want to show some of the content in the adjacent cell so it looks like this;

Goroka (GKA), Garoka, Papua New Guinea

And I want to be able to copy the the above into a dropdown (rather than the formula that created it).

How do I do this?

I was referring to the fact that I wasn't sure what happens when I copy and paste the result of a formula in a cell. Am I copying and pasting the formula or am I copying and pasting the result?

Put another way, I need a formula to strip out all the stuff I don't need, then I need to paste the result into a Word document.

Quick way to cheat this is to copy the column to a text file and save it as .csv (comma seperated value). Then you can open it in Excel with each value in a different column.
