Conditional Formating

So If I would like to make a row change colors with conditional formatting based on where a value in a specific cell is <1 or >1 how would I write that out? I want to create 2 different rules. <1 Red >1 Green.

Dear Sir,
These conditional formatting functions are a pretty simple matter, BUT you have to be careful about monitoring both the area which is "functioning" and the wording of the function, as changes to the sheet (copying/pasting, etc...) can throw them awry.
1. Select Conditional Formatting, New Rule, Use formulas to blah blah blah...
The formatting functions themselves look like this: =IF($G1>1=TRUE,TRUE,"")
Which means: IF whatever you say is true in the particular cell (i.e. value greater than 1 is true), THEN the format you select becomes true, if false then nothing)
After you input your formula select format and select whatever you want to happen if your function is true.
Then go to manage rules and select which cells you would the function to function inside of. ($A$1:$G$5)
