Need Urgent Help with how to create a nested table

    Hi,

New to the forum and in need of some help or at least pointing in the right direction. I'm not an Excel guru but I do know my way around Excel somewhat. I'd classify myself as possibly an intermediate user. Anyway, here's the issue:
Received an assignment from my manager the other day to update an old spreadsheet that used a large number of macros. I don't need to use macros for the update and would prefer not to but to use another technique such as possibly pivot tables but have no clue how to go about it. The use case is:
workbook is designed to show a list of a manager's goals
workbook will also show each report's goals. Each report's goal must tie back to one of the manager's goals
View 1 displays a listing of all resources and their goals
View 2 (hit macro button) does a nested sort to display the manager's goal followed by his reports' goals that tie back to that goal
    Example
    View 1
    Resource Goal
Don (Mgr) increase output by 15%
Don (Mgr) increase MTTR by 20% in Q2
Bill Complete 85% projects on schedule
Linda ensure all trouble tickets are resolved within 24 hours

    View 2
    Resource Goal
Don (Mgr) increase MTTR by 20% in Q2
Linda ensure all trouble tickets are resolved within 24 hours

Not sure if that example does enough justice to explain my issue but I'm hoping it will give some of you experts out there an idea of what I'm trying to do.

    Help! And, thanks in advance!

If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

I think people forget the word "THANK YOU!!!!" Do you still know it???
