Didn't know where to put this so went ahead and posted in General. Mods will move if necessary.
I'm using Access 2003 and Excel 2007. The Access db is stored remotely and the Excel spreadsheet is stored locally.

I have 2 tables in Excel that pull data from queries in Access (1 query for each table). I'm using the Import From Access feature and can successfully do an initial pull of my data without a hitch, for both tables. It is a quick process.
Table 1 currently has 700 records (93 fields).
Table 2 currently has 200 records (102 fields).

I get problems as soon as I want to refresh my data.
I'll go ahead and add data in the Access database. Once I save it and close it, I'll go back to my spreadsheet and click on Refresh All button. After a few seconds, I'll get a message that pops up saying there are a lot of cells to be updated so the process will be slow (Ok or Cancel). Pressing OK does not seem to work. My sheet will hang for as long as I let it (I've left it run for 30 minutes without progress).

I've pinned the problem down to Table 1. Table 2 refreshes in seconds. Table 1 seems to be the problem, though for the life of me I can't figure out why.
I can't believe updating records for a 700 record sheet would be such a problem, especially considering Table 2 refreshes nearly instantly (and has more fields).

Anyways if anyone has hints on where to look, what to try, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks
