Excel puts different number than I type

I enter the number to the excel cell - 5391232093670185 but excel puts 5391232093670180. Last digit is zero instead of five. How to fix this?

It is because excel cell can have only 15 digits number greater than it convert last digit into 0.

You can put greater than 15 digit in to only in text format for doing so add ' then type the numbers.

Re: Excel puts different number than I type

Once you convert any number into text or use ' before any number ( for converting number into text) it mean the cell has automatic formatted as text weather cell format is in General or number.
