    Filter subheadings under merged cells

    Hello All,

I have merged cells to create headings, underneath a few of these headings are sub-headings, I want to be able to filter for some of the headings and some of the sub headings whilst keeping the aesthetics of the spreadsheet. Is there a way to do this?

    Many thanks,

    Adam

Welcome to the forum! Merged cells have been described variously here as "a pain", "undesirable" and "the spawn of the devil". You can probably draw your own conclusions! Bottom line is that by insisting on having them, you are creating unnecessary obstacles. The function of the workbook must always come before the aesthetics.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
