    Time Frame Collation

    Hey there,

I am trying to analize some data that was saved as time frames such as below:

    ------------1------------
    FUELSYS1 CL
    SHRTFT1(%) 25.0
    LONGFT1(%) 0.0
    RPM(rpm) 2263
    MAF(g/s) 14.34
    O2B1S2(V) 0.965
    SHRTFTB1S2(%) 99.2
    O2S11(mA) 6.039
    EQ_RAT11 1.999
    CATEMP11(°C) 605.1
    EQ_RAT 1.018
    ------------2------------
    FUELSYS1 CL
    SHRTFT1(%) 24.2
    LONGFT1(%) 0.0
    RPM(rpm) 2312
    MAF(g/s) 25.06
    O2B1S2(V) 0.955
    SHRTFTB1S2(%) 99.2
    O2S11(mA) 6.039
    EQ_RAT11 1.999
    CATEMP11(°C) 605.8
    EQ_RAT 1.018
    ------------3------------
    FUELSYS1 CL
    SHRTFT1(%) 24.2
    LONGFT1(%) 0.0
    RPM(rpm) 2369
    MAF(g/s) 26.50
    O2B1S2(V) 0.950
    SHRTFTB1S2(%) 99.2
    O2S11(mA) 6.039
    EQ_RAT11 1.999
    CATEMP11(°C) 606.5
    EQ_RAT 1.019

The values themselves are a fixed distance away so it's easy to have them in a separate column. I would like to have the headings on the left as the ROW headings, the frame number as the COLUMN headings and have the actual values organized approperiately. I have tried several different way but no joy so far, any suggestions?

    Cheers,

    Stilian

I guess I don't have an easy way of doing this, but I have a suggestion.

I'm also not exactly sure what the desired result should be, but I am going to take a stab at this and you can tweak it as you see fit.

What I did was copy your data into a single column. Then, Excel2007 (which I am the most familiar with) has a feature called Text to Columns on the Data tab. I guess I would select the entire column before I hit the Text to Columns button. Then, select the Delimited Option and click Next. Then, only check the option of space and click Next. Then, just Finish.

I hope this is what you need.
