Hello all! First thank you for your time. I think it's awesome all that excel is capable of. Here is my problem any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Cells for "No" are just the number
cells for "Page" are the rest, formatting not coming out properly
Problem:
Two separate work books (1 sheet each)
1st workbook A
No Page ----> about 5 more columns of irrelevant data properly sorted with rest of row[/INDENT]1 Main [0-01] /index.php
2 Software [1-02] /soft/software.php
3 Other [5-08] /other.php
4 Contact [7-05] /about/contact.php
....2nd workbook B
No Page -----> about 5 more columns of irrelevant data properly sorted with rest of row[/INDENT]Blank Contact [7-05] /about/contact.php
Blank Software [1-02] /soft/software.php
Blank Main [0-01] /index.php
Blank Other [5-08] /other.php
....
How would I sort workbook B according to the number in Workbook A? and make sure the output had the remaining rows intact? Worksheet A has line breaks where a cell or two will be skipped and number continues, if that would affect results at all.
Would a function be used or is a macro required? I have Mr. Excel tools as well. The simplest solution would be preferred if at all possible I am usually able to find solutions or answers to my excel problems but I'm truly stumped. Thank you!
