Several sheets, same left hand columns - newly inserted rows appear on all sheets

I want to have a workbook where all the sheets have the same two left hand columns, and if I add a row on the first sheet, that inserted row is also inserted on all other sheets.

My case involves personal details for conference participants. I want column A to be first name, column B surname, and then the other columns on each sheet to contain similar info. Sheet1 is personal information, sheet2 is travel information, sheet3 hotel etc.

Ideally, I want to be able to insert a new row at any point in the first sheet, and have this new row appear on all sheets.

(This is like one huge wide sheet, but each "sheet" tab shows different views, grabbing only specific columns). Working with just one sheet is really impractical.

I tried copying the link to sheet1 column A and B into column A and B on sheet2, but if I then insert a new row in sheet1, that row does not appear on sheet2, but the sheet2 references now jump over the new inserted row (Sheet2 has references to A1, A2, A4 ...).

I tried copying links with absolute references, but if I insert a new row on sheet1, sheet2 now shows the newly inserted name in columns A and B, but the old information in all the other rows - and from that point downwards, the information is now not aligned with the right name.

    Is this possible?

Oh - and I would really appreciate if they all sorted the same way - ie sort sheet1 and all the others automatically sort the same way.

I actually need different views on one big sheet, don't I?
