    Data Validation to accept values not on the list

    I can't find the switch to allow a data valadation list to accept input other than that in the list. I know it is possible I used to do it in Excel 2000 but I am having trouble finding he switch in Excel 2010.

    In the data validation dialogue, change the 'style' in the 'error alert' tab
