    Questionnaire in Excel

    Hello!

I want to create a questionnaire in Excel to analyse some things in my project at work. The thing is that we have nearly 300 employees, so everyone should answer the questionnaire. I know that there are these online tools to create surveys, but they usually don't allow for too many questions (I would need to ask around 30 questions...). I also think, the analysis would be easier with Excel.
Now I'm wondering how I can multiply the questionnaire that many times (it can't be sent by email because the people don't have Excel on their computers, hence everything must be filled in using the same computer. How do I do this? With multiple pages? Is it possible to create that many pages in one single Excel file? If not, how can I put everything together..?

I really hope someone can help!

    Thanks!!

    Re: Questionnaire in Excel

I'd suggest putting the questions on to one sheet, with a 'Submit' button at the bottom, which calls a simple macro which writes the data to a 2nd sheet, with one row per answered questionnaire, and one column per question.

I could probably knock up a simple example for you, if you'd be happy to do it that way.

Thanks, Andrew. The problem is that I don't know anything about Macros. Is there another possibility?

It's hard to imagine how this would work without using macros.

I've knocked up a quick demo of the sort of thing I was thinking of, which you can adapt to your own use. Hopefully it's attached; I've been trying to send this post for 24 hours, but I've been experiencing some forum problems.

Sorry, i was trying to use your macro to work my set of data. I myself am clueless on macros except for recording macros (which really isnt considered knowing macros).

Do you suppose you can show me how i can for example, instead of what you are having now is submission to entry number 1.2.3.4 depending on how many times u submit.

could you do something that for example you create a drop box on Question (Sheet) on top which lets u choose for example a Name. And using that name input you complete the form and submit - it would write the inputs into Data with the Given Name.

Also if i were to write the same name, i could overwrite instead of creating duplicated entries.
