    Conditional Formatting and Blank Cells

    Hi,

I would like to use conditional formatting to shade cells that contain a value greater than or equal to zero green, or red if the value is less than zero. This is easy enough but a number of cells contain no value as a result of a VLOOKUP that returns a blank (“”). These blank cells are treated as containing zero and so are shaded green. I would like these blank cells to have no shading.

Can someone please suggest how this can be accommodated when using conditional formatting.

    Thanks!

How can you use Conditional Formating.

--In Excel 2007 and 2010, Conditional Formatting is in the Styles group on the Home tab. In Excel 2003, Conditional Formatting is on the Format menu. See here how you can work using CF.
